Visit a venue, learn 3 phrases from a country competing that day, and print a Cheer Card. Collect all 5 flagship stamps to unlock the 1-of-2,800 Duo trophy.
A physical-meets-digital collectible system that turns every fan into a learner — and every venue into a stamp.
Fans scan a QR code at a Duolingo activation booth and complete a 60-second challenge — a greeting, a chant, and a celebration phrase from a country competing that day. When they finish, a physical Cheer Card prints right at the booth, stamped with the country's flag, the phrase in its native script, and a unique venue stamp. Collect all five venue stamps and unlock a grand-prize Duo trophy, limited to 2,800 numbered units.
This model generates $48–86M over three years, costs under $7M to execute physically, and creates a category Duolingo owns permanently: the language of the Games.
Four streams plus post-Games cohort retention. Drag the sliders, or jump to the plan's Low / Base / High columns. Defaults reproduce the base case.
